What do you think about Mason's death? Do you think he deserved to die? Do you think he should have or shouldn't have died? Do you not care about him at all?

I was really sad when Mason died. Of course, the first time I read it, I totally didn't realize what had happened. It was way too fast and I had no idea what happened until....Rose starts hacking Elena away. Then I had to reread it just to get it. But I was genuinely sad that Mason died. It turns out that his love for Rose was his ultimate downfall. And she didn't even love him back!

I agree with you. I was devastated when Mason died. However, I guess his death was Rose's key to survival because it distracted the Strigoi long enough to free Rose.

Yes...but there's still the fact that he just ran right into danger just because he was a fool in love. Don't deny it...even Rose said that Mason put his love for Rose before the protection of the Moroi and that was what she had to avoid with Dimitri.

Yes, but if Rose went to Dimitri, she would've died with Dimitri so it would have been pointless. However, Mason's death determined whether Rose was going to die herself.
