What's your response to Dimitri becoming a Strigoi? Were you devastated? Distraught? Or for some reason... happy?

I was....I'm not actually sure how I felt. I mean, sure, I was a bit shocked but it was just like Mason's death: way too quick for me to realize.

Well, I was completely devastated! Rose and Dimitri finally worked everything out, only to have it all taken away in a few hours!

Well, your devastation was based on the fact that he's your favorite character. That's true...it was really sad that they figured out how to make their lovey-dovey stuff work and then he becomes a Strigoi...that has to suck.

Well, of course I'm devastated because he's my favorite character. What would be the point in being devastated if I hated him?

I don't know...I mean, I don't hate him but his becoming Strigoi doesn't really affect me. In other words, when I was reading, I wasn't crying over the part. It just seemed...too fast for me to really comprehend and I just couldn't take his "death" to seriously....sorry.

Well, I didn't cry either, but that's because I don't cry while reading books, period. Dimitri becoming Strigoi should affect you because it changed the entire plot of the series. If he hadn't become Strigoi, Rose wouldn't have to chase him and everything would have continued perfectly. Plus, there would be no Blood Promise.
